For many reasons, safety included, I wouldnot recommend staying here.” http://www.travelpost.com//hotels/Candlewood_Suites_Dallas-By_The_Galleria/r908980 http://www.travelpost.com//hotels/Candlewood_Suites_Dallas-By_The_Galleria/r522509 we paid for the room already online, but the desk clerk didn't know what in the world he was doing. and ended up swiping our card for no apparent reason. the room looked pretty clean when we walked in, but i found a few hairs in the bathroom- not a good look! then i found an ant and small spider in the bathroom. since this is an extended stay hotel, housekeeping only comes around once a week. and u have to change out your dirty towels for clean ones at the front desk. and dont even think about bringing your bikini! because there is no pool, which they had a picture of on the website. the kitchenette in the room was stocked pretty good with the basics everyone should have in their kitchen at home. so that was a big plus. and it also has a dishwasher, microwave, sink, and fridge. another few other positives is its fairly quiet,the free internet connection and they have nice hot showers with clear water thank god! the "honor system" cupboard is stopped pretty good, but the prices are out of this world. so you will be better off driving to a store. my recommendation is this would be a great place to stay if you are just passing through or needed somewhere to sleep for like 1 night. http://www.travelpost.com//hotels/Candlewood_Suites_Dallas-By_The_Galleria/r522509 http://www.travelpost.com//hotels/Candlewood_Suites_Dallas-By_The_Galleria/r522510 Check in was as if I was bothering the guy. No "Welcome" or anything. Never made eye contact with me. Also no Housekeeping services during my 7 night stay. You as the customer have to lug you towels down to the lobby to swap out with the front desk clerk. Again, desk clerks do not go out of their way to be friendly. Asked for a vacuum to clean my room and was given a thumbs down. Trash in hallway was there for 3 days before someone finally picked it up. Beds are too soft, but linens and towels were great. Kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans etc and refridgerator with real ice maker was great. Always had an excuse as to why I couldn't take the shuttle van....no driver, need a longer reservation...too far although it states 5 miles and where I needed to go was 3.5 miles. When I travel on business, I want to come back to a clean room, with fresh towels and made up bed. You will not get this with this place. If they would have told me this when I made the reservation, I would have stayed somewhere else.
