We booked with ORBITZ and they were completely negligent of helping us to get out of this reservation or improve our situation. There was not a fitted sheet on the bed, the comforter had dirt on it, the television was stuck on 1 channel, the windows overlooked a stone wall about a foot away, the pool was not open, wifi was not included and the coffee maker was broken. It seemed like a joke. We ended up having to pay a lot more for an upgrade which then was a normal, but too much money in the end for what we had. You are better off booking at a motel 8 and skipping the middle man. ORBITZ burned us badly.

Just stayed on 2/21/09. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. All New Orleans hotel are small but this one was really small, but all that was expected. My only complaint was we arrived early didn't expect our room to be ready. They went ahead and checked us in held our luggage for us and told us they would call me when the room was ready. We never got the call and either did the other 3 couples that was also staying in the same hotel. The hotels phone was busy everytime we tried to call and check on the rooms. Finally at 6:00pm one of the couples went back to the hotel and was told the rooms were ready. When asked why we didn't get a call the lady just said she was sorry. I don't know if this is a online travel website thing or not but the last 2 times we made our reservations with the online travel website we have not been able to check in at check in time. They also added a security charge to the bill which they wasn't adding it to all guest bills. Would stay here again but only with the promise that if I can't get room at check in time that discounts or refunds to find another hotel.

Hotel itself was very nice, clean and well appointed. The room was decent size. Our friends said their room was only half the size of our room. We had 2 doubles, they had one double. We were impressed with the valet parking and the location of the hotel. The restaurant was too expensive for us. We went elsewhere. The only thing we bought there was our first cup of coffee in the morning. The main gripe we had with this hotel was the noise. The hotel and rooms are old and not insulated well. We could hear people talking while walking in the halls all night long. Kids coming in from Bourbon Street at all hours were screaming and slamming doors. I've never experienced this with other hotels, even in New Orleans. We were happy with everything else about this hotel except the noise level. Seems like they could do something about the slamming doors. I had no sleep for 2 days due to this.

Location could not have been better,

Location could not have been better, one- to one-and-a-half blocks from most popular destinations but still on a side street so quiet. Staff seemed attentive. This is a good sized and older hotel, probably larger than typical French quarter hotel but more typical in terms of age. The room was nice enough and typical of a central-city hotel, small but well appointed. While it's an older hotel, everything was updated and it didn't seem "tired." Lots of chandeliers, but otherwise not particularly elegant as French quarter goes. Parking is expensive but probably typical of the location. In all, the price was fair, but neither bargain nor expensive. Inter-room noise a little excessive, depending on your neighbors, but no problem with street noise. All-around, a good stay.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and it is a nice hotel. The problem I have with it is that the service was better for those in the group that booked directly with the hotel rather than through a online travel agency. Everything else was as expected. The staff is very attentive, the rooms are nice. One of the best hotels in the Quarter.

This hotel is no longer a Wyndham owned property. The service has gone down the drain. The rooms need to be updated and renovated. Parking is $30.00 per night, and we waited 45 minutes for our vehicle.

This place sucks

They charged my nearly two hundred dollars a night for this dump, and the room was the size of my bathroom. Then, they over-charged me, and became angry when i tried to speak with them about it. The food was nasty and the place is not worth the price. do not stay here.

The staff was completely incapable of answering the most general questions, the service by the front desk staff was horrible, the room was tiny, dark and dirty. It was probably the worst hotel stay I have ever had. There was a man passed out on the sofa in the front entry at 11 pm at night. Noone on the staff seemed bothered by him being there. At 8:30 am the staff started knocking on the door either at the wrong door for room service or cleaning. I did not sleep one minute all night. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. I based my decision on reviews on this site, therefore I felt obligated to send my honest review in.
