Right next to the T station.Lobby architecture was a bit funky.“Overall, the Marriott Long Wharf is a wonderful place to stay. It is next door to the Aquarium, and a T station is right outside the front door. There is plenty of parking in the public garage one block away, if the valet-only hotel parking is out of your price range.”

Great atmosphere and location on the Boston waterfront. Close to Fanueil Hall, Goverment Center and the North End.The high price of parking your car at the hotel or surrounding areas.“We arrived early, check in is not until 4PM but they were able to accommodate us for a 2:30 check-in. We were given a nice room on the 5th floor overlooking the Boston Harbor, beautiful view! The room was clean and had many amenities. The staff was very efficient. The Marriott Long Wharf is very close to Faneuil Hall, the North End and Government Center, which made walking around easy. The only negative was the $42.00 to park overnight at the hotel and the prices at other garages were about the same.”

Very nice, recenlty remodeled and ideal location to Quincy Market. The T stop in front of the hotel is Blue Line requiring transfers to most anywhere other than the airport.“The Marriott Long Wharf is a wonderful upscale Boston hotel, directly across the street from Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. It is also a short 2-3 blocks from Boston's Italian North End neighborhood. Almost all of the major Boston attractions are located within walking distance. If you purchase a 1-day T pass for $9 or a 7-day pass for $15 per person, you can go everywhere in Boston and Cambridge. The hotel itself has a nautical theme and is configured on the outside and inside like a luxury cruise liner. The view from the restaurant looking out on Boston Harbor is like the view off the stern of the ship. It's a perfect hotel for tourists as well as business visitors.”

Being from Boston its always nice to

Being from Boston its always nice to stay in the city once and a while. One of my favorite places, for numerous reasons, is the Long Wharf Marriott.Location Conveniently located at 296 State Street in Boston, this hotel couldn't have landed itself in a better location for tourists. Number one highlight of this hotel's location is that it is 1.5 miles from Logan Airport. A cheap taxi ride and a easy trip in and out make this a prime location for those looking for ease of travel from the airport to the hotel. Just a few blocks away, no more than a 15 minute walk, is the historic Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market. Within that area are countless shopping destinations, street performers during the summer, beautiful christmas light displays during winter, and some fantastic restaurants to please any tastes. Even closer than those locations is the New England Aquarium which is literally steps from the front door of the hotel. A fantastic location for adults and kids to visit, the Aquarium offers education and fantastic visual displays that people of all ages can enjoy. Also just nearby, maybe a 20 minute walk or so, is the home of the 2008 World Champion Boston Celtics, The Boston Garden. Not only do the Celtics call this home but a tourist can also catch a Bruins hockey game, a concert, a musical, or Disney On Ice as they perform here as well. Service The service is very prompt and well maintained. Upon pulling up multiple bellmen come out to greet you, help you out of your car, park it, and take your bags for you. Requesting any amenities before you check in such as extra pillows, will promptly be delivered to your room and in my case, ready as soon as I walked in. I really didn't have any issues at all with the service, it was very well done. With seven floors and 391 rooms, the hotel is no easy task to keep running as well as it is, so that is a testament to the staff. Rooms The rooms are fantastic. Probably the most up to date rooms of any hotel I have stayed at in the last year. The 37' flat screen LCD tvs are first noticed by the guest. Upon walking into the room the well decorated and contemporary furniture compliment the room nicely. And finally as a great touch, a iPod desk clock/charger dock is waiting at bedside for the user. These all may seem like little things but it is a big difference from other hotels, and it shows that they are going the extra mile to give guests the most contemporary amenities in a room as far as technology and design go.Price For a normal night you are looking at anywhere from $200 to $250 a night. Now that may be a little cheap but it is also in the heart of Boston so it isn't as bad as it potentially could be (like New York which has hotels that charge 400-500 a night). The only down side that the hotel has in regard to price is parking. There is an on site valet service and an underground garage under the hotel which is very convenient but $42 a night for parking can really break the bank.Hotel Facilities (gym, jacuzzi, pool, etc.) The hotel has a fantastic gym. With cardio and weights separated on separate sides of a U shaped fitness center, this enables people to be focused on their specific type of exercise without being distracted by others walking around. The pool is beautiful, indoors but with glass all around it to appreciate the outdoors but still keep you warm, and a large hot tub ready for your relaxation. There is also Rowe's Wharf Spa .5 miles away that has a full array of body scrubs or massages you can choose from for those looking for a little more luxury. Final Thoughts For the location alone this hotel would be worth it. If you were to stay outside of Boston and want to sight see here, you would waste as much money traveling back and forth in a taxi or renting a car. The hotel is gorgeous, the location is superb and the rooms are very up to date and contemporary. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the city. © Copyright 2008 - ace3502 Looking For Things To Do In Boston?
Beautiful water view.Very noisy outside and inside room. Something in the room kept bumping every 10 min at night. Maid vacuumed at 9 am outside my room.“It is oddly set up. On the view side, you get the view and the street noise as well.”
