Pleasantly surprised

I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the room. The beds were very nice. The hotel is in a very nice area of Ithaca, away from the hustle and bustle of the college and downtown, which can be awful to try and navigate.

This is one of the better Best Western

This is one of the better Best Western hotels we have ever been to. We have stayed in several rooms over the years since our son has moved to Ithaca. We enjoy out viisit each & every time. We have had the room with the Jacuzzi & also the room with the Fireplace. They offer so much more then your run of the mill best Western.

I would stay here again

I stayed here for a conference at Cornell University and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Shuttle service was prompt. Room was a little dark and dated in design but comfy and I even had a fireplace. I never heard any other guests once in my room even though the hotel was filled to capacity. Breakfast was served as scheduled and included nice variety - not enough seating though. I would stay here again for sure.

Good Place, but I feel I got short-sheeted

This motel is in an odd but fine location. Clean rooms but with a few problems. Upon arrival, I was told that I was a "no-show" as an introduction to the motel by the women desk-clerk. I explained and offered to give my cancellation confirmation number by the man who accepted my cancellation of the 1st night a month prior. She declined. Upon checkout, the bill did contain the night I had cancelled; when I pressed the point, the man at the desk did credit me with the properly cancelled date. However, he refused to give me the discounted rate on the other 3 nights, which cost me an additional $330.00 US Funds, leaving me to question my continued patronage of this motel chain. Yes, the TV remote didn't work and the pool was closed for season, but, so what?

After driving for 6 hours, we arrived

After driving for 6 hours, we arrived around 11:30 pm, unpacked, and then found the bathroom sink completely plugged up. We asked for another room, but none was available nearby and we really didn't feel like packing up and moving after midnight. We had to walk to the main desk to get a plunger, since there was only one person on duty. We discovered the sink was clogged up with huge amounts of hair and filth. After about half an hour of plunging, we got it to drain slightly. The sheets on the beds were very wrinkled and we wondered if they had been washed. One still had a stain on it.When I spoke to the manager the next day, she did not seem terribly concerned or apologetic. After negotiating, we got her to take $30 off our 4-day stay. Really not good compensation for the terrible night before. Some days, we did not receive enough towels.

I liked the location, but I disliked the lack of breakfast at half past six o'clock in the morning when needed.

Very Bad for Disabled People

The handicapped-accessible rooms are as far away from everything you might want at a hotel as possible. The staff was gracious about bringing me ice and beverages, but I had to drive to the lobby for my breakfast. There is no accessible bathroom near the lobby -- the only one is down a full flight of stairs. There are no automatic doors to enter the lobby. There are also no handicap parking spots near the accessible rooms and the curbs outside those rooms are unusually high. All in all, I felt like a second-class citizen.

The rooms are nice. The furnishings, although somewhat new, are very dated style-wise and the colors muddy and old fashioned. It's great to have a fireplace, microwave, and small fridge. It's a good place for a long stay. It’s located where you can find a laundromat and supermarket that has take-out food plus a walk to a few restaurants
