We generally do the Residence Inn because it is rather roomy for us, but I was pleasantly surprised here. Their definition of "suite", though, is different than mine. I think of two separate rooms and this was not the case here. However, there was a "sitting" area w/ ample room to move around in and consisted of a pull-out sofa-bed and a chair. There was also a desk in this area and a taller dorm-like refrigerator. It was perfect for us. The pillow-top King bed was an added bonus...those are the best!!!!!!!!!! The front desk employees were friendly (total truth to the statement "southern hospitality") and everything was spotless. We had quiet evenings....no noise around us (although I am sure you can get the "wrong" people next to you anywhere). Breakfast was an extended "continental", I guess you could call it. It had your cereals, eggs, sausage (there was meat on that bar!), pastries, waffles, toast, coffee, OJ, etc. The area can be a little congested with everyone going at one time, but other than that...I have totally no beefs with this hotel. NONE. Very very close to the exit to take you to Gatlinberg, as well. For the price, you can't beat it...at all. I was extremely happy with the quality of the hotel, the amenities, and the staff. The pool area is very accomodating and the breakfast area was just perfect before having to start the day. They really enjoyed the indoor pool. The room was especially nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfast both mornings. The waffles, biscuits and sausage gravy were a wonderful surprise. We would certainly encourage anyone in the area to say at this hotel.
