Visibility of sign was poor, almost passed it up.The sign was hiding behind a palm tree, would be difficult to find at night. Rooms were clean, nice and reasonable. No breakfast included but restaurant in hotel had a wonderful breakfast. We have made reservation on line, Once ready to check-in we have been told that they have no rooms available, that they are sorry and they referred us to a different hotel located about 4 miles away. We aren't local and we chose this hotel for its location. Our plans were ruined, we have lost one day out of our trip just to locate a different hotel to fit our need.. The hotel was in an excellent location for all the touring we wanted to do. Walking distance to everything for tourists. The front desk staff were very accomodating. No problem we went to eat at The Hollywood and Highland Center. Came back an hour and a half past check-in time and room was still not ready. Was given an upgraded room or what they call an upgrade. Hardly any of the staff spoke clear english (if any english at all). Room appeared clean but you could instantly tell the carpet was dirty / sticky on your shoes. Traveling with a 2 year old so this was a concern. end table lamps did not work. Called desk and worker brought light bulbs but lights still not working. After an hour of working on the electrical outlet (behind the bed) was told it that it was "no good" and worker left. Called front desk and was offered another room but we had unpacked already. Worker then brought up a power strip and pluged into another outlet to run lights. Once again 2 year old in the room with open power source. Toilet over flowed on first flush. Drain plug in bath did not work had to give 2 year old a 2 minute bath. Second night it took over 10 minutes to get hot water into faucets. Parking was tight and half the parking lot was closed for tarmacing. Almost could not get out of my parking space on checkout morning to make my flight. This is not the quality of Best Western that is shown on their commercials. Almost no compensation for all these issues. Had made reservations for a longer stay in December but cancelled when I checked out. Inadequate parking. The only bright spot is the small restaurant on property: it's excellent. Stay next door at the Holiday Inn instead.
