We must have looked frightful, but the lady at the front desk was amazingly helpful and offered to help us find a taxi or rental car. She also helped us find the best price for our room. Each staff member we met had a kind word for the kids. Our room was beautiful with a view of the river. The kids loved watching the boats go by. They were also impressed with the widescreen tv (as was my husband). We ordered breakfast, which arrived right on time, and was almost more than we could eat! The pier and a nearby train museum provided entertainment for the kids, while my husband focused on getting our van fixed. We plan to make this hotel a Wilmington tradition. Right on a beautiful river, close to shopping and dining. Rooms are very nicely decorated, linens very nice, beds very comfortable. CLEAN! Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking on-site. Takes about 10 minutes to get to airport. Breakfast delivered to your door! We were sorry we were only here one night and would stay again and will recommend to friends and family. Try to dine at Elijah's on the river front if you can! Not an oceanfront hotel but on the cape fear river and very pleasant atmosphere. Awesome deck on the back of hotel jutting out to the river with great views of the battleship.. Very nice, clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Hotel staff were very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Rooms were gorgeous, spacious, very clean and modern with great views over Cape Fear River. Hotel also has a fitness center and business center both included in the price for guest use. Location couldn't have been better, right on the river walk and minutes from restaurants and downtown area. The included breakfast was great, delivered right to your door at the time of your choice and had a great selection of foods. The hotel is on the river, so get a room with a view. The beds were great and the bathrooms are wonderful. They delivered our continental breakfast to our room at no extra charge.
