All areas were clean & well kept & staff was genuinely nice & helpful. It was a welcomed change from the large hotels where there are so many people & all areas are crowded & loud. Rooms are nicely equipped & the breakfast was a nice start to a long day! I like the New Orleans French Quarter theme. They were going through some major rennovations when I was there, but were nearly completed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast buffet was very good, and they also extended Happy Hour in their lounge for my group of friends. I've heard that the area was bad, but when I got there I felt perfectly safe and fine. Parking lot is well lit and I also saw motorcycle police officers hanging out in the Atrium due to the cold weather. They told us that the Police Training Academy was right down the street so they have lots of officers that stay at the hotel. The only bad thing was there was too many people in the sauna/steam room, we didn't go in.
