We came only because we wanted to see Nixon's stomping grounds. We werent sure about the hotel, but once we arrived we were quite happy with the accomodations. Both times I paid for a Queen bed and was upgraded for free to a King. The rooms are quiet, extremely clean, and the beds and pillows are super comfortable. This is the first time we have been to San Clemente. The Hotel room was clean and comfortable. It was nice having such a big pool area for the kids, and the workout center was alot better than other places. Great location that is close to highway, beach and restaurants. Main street in San Clemente is within walking distance where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. Try and book the upgraded room as they have been recently refurbished. Brand new furniture and beds that are very comfortable. The shower did not work and the faucet in the sink did not work. When we called the desk, no one answered. The office staff was nice but they were not professional. I would prefer a hotel that is to the south side of the town.
