My family took many vacations to the Beach Haven for several years but the last 3-4 visits were so disappointing that we have not been back. The carpets were filthy(made our feet black in minutes)and had not been replaced in about 10 years that we k

What a great little beach bungalow! It was a great location, comfortable, really clean and no problem parking. It's off season, so I can't say what it would be like in the summer, but I would go here again. The price was awesome, very inexpensive and worth it!

We brought my Mom and Dad to the Beach Haven Inn for a weekend getaway. I was impressed from the moment I walked in. The staff welcomed us with open arms! You don't get that in San Diego! We stayed in a one bedroom suite, which was spacious and comfortable for us.

We stayed with a group that reserved

We stayed with a group that reserved about 10 rooms. The problems included, lost reservations, AC not working, lost power in one of the rooms, no clean towels until very late in the day, dirty cloudy pool. To get to the beach you have to walk down a long narrow allley that is littered with garbage and has homeless people that take refuge in hidden spaces. Though we were never bothered by the homeless, my sons are adult male athletes. I would not feel comfortable letting younger children be in the area. If you move your car and come back in the evening you can't find a place to park and end up having to look for a parking spot on the street, sometimes blocks away. This is a good example of you get what you pay for. I am very disappointed with the Beach Haven and would not recomend this hotel.

Location was good, it was very clean

Location was good, it was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The small ironing board in the room, parking, and there were no extras in the room. It was pretty pricey for what it had to offer. This was exactly what you would expect a beach motel to be like. It was very clean and quaint. There were a couple problems, but we made the staff aware of them for future guests. They had just painted the room and our bathroom door stuck so badly that it took two people to open it when it was shut. The curtains were shear and the light from the hotel across the way shined in on us, so we hung our bedspread across the window to keep the light out. There was also an attached kitchen that was locked on our side; the light was left on all night, which also shined in on one of the beds. It would've been nice to have a coffee maker in the room, too.

Proximity to the ocean was wonderful.Dirty carpets made bare feet dirty. The hotel was a good stay overall- hot, ice- cold. it was less than a block from the an ocean walk that was well lit and that made it worth another visit.

We dindn't have A/Cthe first night.Bad Bad room conditions.the receptionist has the worse costumer service I have ever experienced. It is worthy to pay $75extra&stay in a better hotel. phone message was never given to us.Never on time to open and get breakfast, which by the way it is not continental, it is just coffee and muffins.Again, if you care about the minimum confort on your vacation, DO NOT STAY AT THE BEACH HEAVEN INN
