However, as soon as I woke up, I realized I had the best sleep ever on a business trip. What a relief to know you can work hard AND recuperate well while on the road at the Baymont in Champaign! The property is located close to tons of great restaurants and I can't wait to go back and try some more next time I find myself in town. The rooms have an updated look and this hotel has everything you're looking for, whether you're traveling on business or for pleasure! Got the AAA rate of $95 per night for 4-person room, thought it was a good rate, but room was very standard at best. Pillows were very flat. Cable t.v. was very poor reception and had a blue tint. Enjoyed having mini-fridge in room to store some food and drinks for our football game tailgate. Staff was pretty nice, although I encountered a mild problem when I tried to cancel one night of my stay b/c they said they had a 2-night minimum for football weekends. However, they ended up cancelling it w/o a charge anyway. Close to lots of chain restaurants and Meijer grocery store. Breakfast was decent, they had a waffle iron.
