The room #1705 is in serious need of updating. The furniture is torn and extremely uncomfortable to sit on. The beds were squeaky and most uncomfortable. At one point, I almost went to get my beach chair to sleep in I was so miserable. The pool areas were full of trash, cigarette butts and bottles and cans. No one cleaned the pools for 4 days while we were there. The pools are filled with sand and trash. We even stepped over lemon peels and chicken wing bones at the tower 3 lazy river. It was GROSS !!! I recommend staying at Monterey Bay or Grande Shores for a nicer visit. We will never stay at BayWatch again. We had 3 adult parents and 5 boys, all teenagers. What a blast we had! The variety of pools was great. Something for everyone. Being so close to the beach was my personal favorite and the morning buffet was great for the price. Lots of variety for the different palates we had All the staff were helpful and the rooms... we couldn't have asked for more. I don't know what the other towers were like, but DO NOT STAY IN TOWER I. This place was horrible! Check in time is at 4, we didn't get our key until a little AFTER 4 (that didn't start things out very good). When we got up to our room the TV remote did not work, the TV had a snowy picture on all the channels, there was no shower curtain, the iron board was bent and would not stand on its own, and there was red stains that looked like either blood or ketchup on the walls. NASTY!! We were moved to another room and in this room there was no hair dryer (the 1st room had one) so i had to bang on my neighbors door to see if i could use their hair dryer. Maintenance did come up and install a hair dryer while we were out of the room and when we returned I found my toothbrush thrown in a Kleenex box, my hair products thrown across the toilet and my medicine bag thrown on the floor. I didn't appreciate that at all!! The ice bucket was not emptied / changed. It was full of water and had no replacement bag / liners for us to use (who knows who's dirty hands were in there last!) And when we went to go to sleep the beds were HORRIBLE!! They squeaked terribly!! You breathe, they squeaked. So at 2:30AM I was down at the front desk lobby to see if they can move us to a 3rd room. It was like a 5 min walk from the room to the lobby and the front desk person gave us the key to the 3rd bedroom it didn't work so we had to walk all the way back to get another key that worked. By this time we were so tired and out of it that we went to sleep, woke up early with leg and back pain from the bed springs poking you all night long. We spoke with the manager first thing in the morning and told her how unhappy we were staying at this place and she told us that we were staying in the "older part" of the hotel and they wanted to move us for the 4th time into a newer part of the hotel. All the trouble we went through, we said forget it we are going home. Home is 7 Hours away! It was a total waste of our time, our gas, and ware & tear on our car to come stay at this hotel. The ONLY person who was friendly was the bellboy. The front desk crew was very short with answers and acted like we were a bother to them. The manager informed me that we would get a FULL refund. As of today my husband and I are still battling for our FULL refund to be credited back to us. It was a shame all this had to happen. My husband and I are the type of people who always stay at the regular hotels like best western, holiday inn ect. We have never stayed at a resort before and thought this would be a nice get away. The hotel is dirty and we had BED BUGS in our room. They moved us to another room without bugs, but it was still dirty (crusted dirt inside every cushion crevice).
