Only located near beach, food chains, night life, shopping.Do not take your car, do not eat or take all inclusive package, be prepared to get stuck with elevator every time you go.“Horrible place to stay. Do not waste your money or trip. Very poor service. Your stuff and your car is not safe in this hotel. Food quality is very poor.”

5 of my friends and I went here and we LOVED it we had the time of our lives!! The food was great- the service was sooo nice and they went out of their way to help us with everything we needed. The staff really made us feel welcome- the pool is great and the beach is amazing! The rooms were beautiful and clean and housekeeping got us anything we needed. There is a shopping mall and little shopping markets near by and there is food all along the strip. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone! oh and one additiont hey have that I have not seen in pictures is a kids pool castle playground area that is big and awesome~ we didn't play in it- but if I were a kid I would have loved it!!!

After reading some of the reviews of the Avalon Excalibur I was a little worried about staying here. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The beach was clean, the staff was very nice and more than willing to help us with everything. The elevators are a bit slow but it was spring break and the hotel was quite busy. Still, I have no real complaints about the hotel. It met all of my expectations and accomodated all of my needs. If you are looking for a clean place to stay I would recommend this hotel. Not a 4 or 5 star but definitely 3 star. For what I wanted, it was perfect.

The all-time worst hotel I have stayed

The all-time worst hotel I have stayed at in 30 years. The all-time worst hotel I have stayed at in 30 years.“I will contact you by phone to request a refund. This hotel is a nightmare. After you sold me this room, I went to tripadvisor.com where I read dozens of reviews saying "this is the worst hotel I have stayed at in my life." I agree! It is insane to give this a 3-star rating. (Your star ratings for hotels in America are correct, but your star rating for this hotel is totally wrong.) This would not qualify even as a 1-star hotel -- and if you go to tripadvisor.com and read the dozens of reviews, you will see why immediately. I agree with all those negative reviews: * the rooms stink (they smell terrible)* the beds are harder than cement* these are the noisiest rooms on earth - there is huge traffic noise inside the room (and loud noise from hotel guests) - we could not sleep at all - the noise goes on all night long* nothing works: ** the phones do not work** the TV did not work (the picture and audio would scramble for 1-2 seconds, then become ok for 4-5 seconds, then scramble for 1-2 seconds, all night long)** only 2 light bulbs worked in the room -- all the rest were burned out (we asked for more - they never brought them)** they told us at check in they were giving us a room with 2 beds; when we got to the room it had 1 bed and 1 sofa - I complained; then they told us they would send a maid "right away" with sheets to make up the sofa as a bed - I had to go back to the desk 3 times over the next 90 minutes to finally get a maid to come with sheets (we could not go to sleep until she came at 11 p.m.!)** the air conditioner does not work -- it just blows warm air (we literally were sweating all night long)** this is a high rise hotel with 4 elevators, but only one works -- and it is very slow -- we waited more than 5 minutes for the elevator to arrive in the lobby each time -- it was absurd, I wrote you weeks ago alerting you to these problems and sent you, by email, a link to the dozens of irate, angry, negative rev.”

Great location, good entertainment. Not to friendly staff, too much noise, problems with opening doors.“Bad experience with management staff, a manager tried to charge me with a bill apparently for 4 shots of tequilas in the amount of 320.00 when I disputed this to management, they didnt believe that this was not my signature on the bill. Bartender remembered that I was paying with cash and he was on my favor, however this manager was given me a hard time, finally they didn't charge this dummy bill. Alert people of these kinds of dummy charges.”

The view.Too noisy till late at night, air con did not work.“There were no other foreign tourists. Most were Mexican holiday people. Most staff did not speak English. Check in took about an hour. The air conditioner in the room did not work. They have loud music playing all day by the pool and until midnight every night. It was a very commercial busy place and not very relaxing. It seemed though that this was Acapulco in general. The view was nice.”

rooms and bathrooms needs an upgrade. Pillows and beds were very hard. Swimming pool small. Caters to families with small kids. Hotel is located between two storm sewers. show dead rats coming out of storm sewers. Do not recommend to USA tourist. Lots of people with large families form "vacations club" mainly coming in from within Mexico.
