Everything was great. We booked the room about 2 hrs before our arrival and we ended up with an ocean view room and the room was lovely. The only thing was that the AC didnt work too well but if you open the balcony it didnt matter!

2nd stay here we love this hotel

My wife and I have stayed on both the east and west side of the hotel. The views from either side are spectacular. The beds are very comfortable, and trust me my wife has a hard time finding a bed that she finds comfortable. We enjoyed the BOB, although not the greatest food it was just average, but the coffee was delicious (toasted coconut). We also enjoyed the hawaiian music and hula dancer. It creates a gathering area for the guests of the hotel where we met people from all over the world. The music creates a beautiful hawaiian vibe to start your day. Since we had stayed here before we were given a free view upgrade, from partial ocean view to ocean view. We had requested the east side with Diamond Head view, which was the view we had the first time. We decided we wanted a change this time and requested a west view room, with a view of Waikiki. Gena at the front desk was very helpful and accomadated our request and moved us to a west view room. Thanks again Gena!!
The rooms and hotel were always very clean. We look forward to staying at this hotel everytime we visit the Island, which we know will be many more times. We can't wait to go back!! We would recomend this hotel to anyone visiting Oahu!!

Great Location

It is a great location, but stay away if your not a clean person! The elevator was janky, the bathroom had mold, and the just the overall smell of the room was weird!!!! Our view was terrible. The decor was cheesy. If you want location for a cheap price, I suggest to book your room with the ocean view. I peeked at the rooms during house cleaning and its better and cleaner looking.

My Wife and I stayed in this hotel for eight days for our honeymoon and we had a blast. Great service, amenities, restaurants, rooms and most importantly it had the best location. Location, Location, Location! Its perfect. In addition, we also loved the complimentary breakfast. It was good and convenient.

We have stayed here many times. The rooms are the best for the price. The people are GREAT. It is right across the street from Kuhio beach, which is the best beach in Waikiki. We are going back in sept.09. CAN"T WAIT.........

going back this year

stayed at this hotel 2 x now, will be going back this year. Stayed at Turtel Bay last time and that was beautiful, but would of rather been at this hotel. Great service , clean rooms, perfect location, and great views. I have been to hawaii 8 time now and this hotel is by far the best one yet.
They are a no smokeing hotel as almost all hotels are, thats a bummer for smokers. Wish they could give you free w-fi . Breakfast on the beach is a great little add . Take it back to your room or right accross the st. Dont pack beach towels they have them there. Eat at Dukes and Cheese Burger in Paradise. Do rent a car and go to the n. shore. Real Hawaii and Beautiful beaches.
I would recomend this hotel to all my friends..

Overall great location, nice view and breakfast included with nearby restaurants. I would recomended and visit again. Free wireless oferred at lobby, It would be great if they add it to rooms free of charge but they do offer connection for less than $10.00 rates/day.

Our room was very spacious. Was told that we were given an upgrade due to 3 adults in one room, paid in advance, and they were not full. The beach was across the street.
Staff very friendly and accommodating!!!
The breakfast was nice. You could pack the breakfast to take to the beach. Nice feature.
The elevators were a bit testy. Sometimes we ended up on the wrong floor because our room key wasn't acceptable to the elevator's programming.

great hotel for the money

We spent a week at this hotel. The service was great. Then rooms were clean. The hotel needs a little updating although you can see they are trying to keep up. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was good although on weekends you have to get their early or they run out of hot food. The location is at the very end of the strip of hotels and shops-a little quieter but further walk to the main shops and restaurants, not bad though. I would stay here again although I missed having a spa. No queen beds-2 doubles or a king and a pull out in the suite
