We have stayed in the disney properties

We have stayed in the disney properties for years and needed to be thrifty as we all seem to need right now, boy are we glad we did! This hotel offers the nicest, cleanest most updated rooms and amenities in the area for 1/2 the cost for gosh sakes it is really nice. Plantation shutters, granite, new fixtures, excellent room options, excellent colors and the beds were magnificent! We will consider staying here from now on unless the Disney hotels really get cheap. The extra walk is about an eighth of a mile and nothing to even talk about. I would reccomend this place to all who are staying in the convention or Disney area. It's perfect, not a negative to be found.

My mom and I stayed here for our first

My mom and I stayed here for our first trip ever to the states. We were looking forward to being across the street from Disneyland.
When we got to the hotel we had some problems checking in, but those were fixed in a matter of minutes.
Our room was clean, the beds were comfy. The food in the hotel resturant was great. The pool and hot tub were also great. The only problem with the hot tub pool area was they kept running out of towels. But it was warm out so that didn't matter.
The service of all the hotel employees were great. They were friendly and helped us with everything that we had questions for.
I would stay here again, and am looking forward to next year, when not only my mom and myself but my dad and brothers also.
The hotel in whole is clean, and kept up very well. Its well worth the money. You won't be disappointed.

We booked this hotel from Australia and I have to say it was a real disappointment. The staff were rude and not able to help people who have come from a different country. All I wanted was to warm up some food for my daughter and when I asked someone if the restaurant could do this for me they said no go to the seven eleven down the road. It was 9.30 at night and I was in a country I didn't know and they wanted me to walk down the road to god knows where to do this. Thanks but no thanks. As this was our first stop on a round trip of the US I found the total lack of customer service very sad. We ended up leaving early and booking ourselves into another hotel where no request was to much. We never got our money back for leaving early but it didn't really bother me as I just wanted to leave.

My husband and I had been regular

My husband and I had been regular guests for some years, staying here yearly for Disneyland trips. We liked them a lot. Until our last stay, when we took advantage of a great online price directly through the site, which required prepayment. Not a problem. And then we got there to find the reservation we had already paid for was lost. After assuring us that the charge on my credit card statement was really just a hold, they upgraded us to a Concierge Suite, which, according to the person that checked us in was nicer, and had better amenities before charging me again for the room. What he didn't say was that we would not be getting those amenities. After I called down and confirmed that the amenities included complimentary breakfast, we went down the next morning to breakfast, only to be told rudely that we weren't on the list. Itching to meet our friends, we spent an hour with a concierge, who first gave, then rescinded, the amenities. Why rescind them? The check-in clerk said "better amenities" instead of "comp upgrade." And she told me that I hadn't really been charged for my room. I chose to wait until checkout to deal with it. In the meantime, I called my credit card company, confirmed that it was a purchase, and they were going to double charge me. An hour-long checkout later, we learned that we had been marked as a no-show long before we were due, and our first payment was refunded. As for the amenities, the bathrobe that didn't fit my husband, the fancy tv that we never turned on, and the "luxury" linens that gave me HIVES on my FACE, were supposed to be adequate compensation for the lost, nearly double-charged reservation.

We stayed at the Anabella Hoted in December 2008. It was a beautiful hotel, close to the park, next to two great places to get breakfast. They have a beautiful outdoor bar that's next to a beautiful garden. The room was huge! Safes in the room. The beds were orthopedic beds and so comfortable I slept better than on my own bed. Staff was wonderful, they printed out our boarding passes for our flight home and stored our bags after our checkout so we could enjoy our last day at the park before flying home that night. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Thanks online travel website for setting us up with this great place! And thank you gnome!

This hotel is a quick 5 minute walk to downtown disney and disneyland. It is super close to the park but not near the rest of the hotels that are crowded and lots of people walking at all hours. This is a little more secluded, but don't get me wrong, it is equal-distance to disneyland as the other hotels! with my disabled father, we walked there in 5 minutes.
It has a family pool and a separate adult pool. Restaurant is great, room service or optional delivery service from local restaurants.
Bell staff is super friendly, they printed our boarding passes for us on their computer, all staff there is so cheerful and lovely.
Flat screen TV, ipod/cd stereo in my room, safe in room, and o my goodness- so clean.
Seriously, this hotel is great. I have stayed at many many hotels in disneyland over the past years, and this is one I will continue to frequent.

The hotel is literally across the street from the park, but is out of the way enough that you don't feel swarmed by Disneylandness. The hotel wait staff was very friendly and accommodated us as soon as we arrived. The food at the restaurant was tasty, but the drinks were amazing. I recommend the Tangerine Blast. The room had lots of open space and the beds were super comfortable.
All and all, I would recommend staying here. Not as pricey at the hotels in the park, and you are close enough to walk to the parks whenever you're ready.

Still thinking.Bad management, lots of charges including parking fees for parking! The Anabella Hotel was highly recommended, accommodations were good. Unfortunately, we were informed during check in by your night desk person of a parking fee for parking our car in the hotel. We decided to take this up with the manager during our checkout. Their comments too were that other hotels were charging a parking fee to their customers. So I guess this makes it okay! Fortunately, there are many hotels in the Anaheim area which are honest and value and appreciate their customers. They don't squeeze every possible dollar from their guests with so called petty charges or parking fees. I will probably be visiting the area again but definitely will not be staying at the Anabella Hotel again.
