The carpets were so dirty the bottoms of our feet and/or socks were black. The rooms were not very clean, very dusty, the freezers in the refrigerators needed to be defrosted and they were not very clean. The wireless internet was not reliable at all. Me and my family were Hurricane Gustav Evacuees and were happy to have a room but, our experience with that hotel was less than desirable. The pool was not usable, it was covered and the water was dark forest green. Had the pool been operational it would have given my daughter and a lot of other hotel guests something to do while we were evacuated. The walls have brown liquid splashed on them, the mirrors have make up splatters, the walls need to be cleaned, they have shabby linens, and the bathroom is grungy. This is not a place to stay for women traveling or people who expect clean facilities. The curtains are falling off the window, they have shabby furniture, the room smells of smoke, and I was assured that it was a non-smoking room. The carpet appeared well vacuumed, but the bathroom grout is full of mold. The TV, and Internet access were OK. It has a small microwave and refrigerator, but I am afraid to look inside of it.
