Brian and Fran's beautiful home is comfortable and cozy. They cater to your every need and make you feel most welcome. You can walk to everything there is to see and do or just relax on the charming porch. Breakfast is wonderful with a new gourmet treat every morning. The wine and cheese hour in the evening is a great way to meet the other guests. The rooms are immaculate and tastefully decorated, very cozy. Breakfast on both days was delicious and we were so full that we didn't eat again until supper time. My favorite is the screened-in porch and swing. A perfect place to relax while admiring the gardens, reading a book or getting to know other guests at the inn. In spite of a day of rain, armed with an umbrella, I was able to walk to the shops of Galena which is not far. This was our second visit to The Aldrich House and won't be our last.
