Hotel rooms were great - spacious and clean, and hotel atmosphere is relaxing. Good buffet breakfast, and tour desk with good maps and helpful staff. Also, the courtesy shuttle sevice is great and runs every 15 minutes between the hotel and Kyoto station. The location is a little further away, and the only down side was there are not many restaurants in walking distance to the hotel (or that we found) so eating dinner at the hotel can be a little pricy. We liked the location, the rooms, and the staff though fewer spoke English here than at our Tokyo hotel.
