This place was Amazing

Up for another buffet breakfast at my favourite cafe. Having bought a few CD's the day before, my addiction had taken hold. The main street had maybe 50 stalls selling all kinds of CD's including many latest 2005 releases. Not having a fast internet connection in London, it was time to shop shop shop...and for only 1 quid each! After some musical retail therapy i decided to check out the rich suburb of Sopacachi a 30 minute walk from the centre of La Paz. The area was nice and leafy with many tall apartment buildings and fine restaurants. Bolivia is a poor country, but you can certainly see some wealth in La Paz, although i only scratched the surface i think. After a load of cheap meat at a nearby restaurant, it was off for more CD shopping then a brisk walk up the hill to get a view of the amazing setting that is La Paz. La Paz is incredible, being at the bottom of a canyon and the houses just rise up the sides and spill over the edges, or vice versa depending on how you look at it. After my obligatory 'birds eye view' photos, I went for a bite to eat. Still alone, not having bumped into anyone, but enjoying my own company all the same...
