Seattle, Washington - Day 15

We set off into the city without much of a plan. We know what we are going to do but I failed to look into the parking situation. It wouldn’t have been so bad if I didn’t have the bikes on top of the van – now I can’t fit into any parking garages. Even with them lying down I couldn’t fit. But, I finally find an outdoor lot in a good location and we head down to Pike Place Market. We wandered around there for a while but didn’t see a single fish get thrown!!! The guys at the fish stands were very funny though. There were lots of tourists standing around waiting but there was nobody buying any fish. We ate lunch at Pike Place Chowder – oh soooooo good!!!!! I wish I could take a gallon with me. We went to see “Ye Olde Curiosity Shop”. Some very weird stuff in that place. We then proceeded on to the Underground Tour (much recommended by Tona, Shannon and Kerry). It was very interesting and a lot of fun!!! After the tour is over we took a rest for a snack and a drink and then took the bus back to our van. We then walked to the monorail station and rode that to see the space needle. It had been cloudy all day and

never did clear up so we just walked around and then headed back to the car. I must have been tired of pictures because for some reason, I failed to take any of the city although I took some in the underground. Bummer!!! We went to Ivar’s Salmon House for dinner – excellent – and then back to the hotel.
