This place was Amazing

Still in Beaumont, Texas. The rain finally caught up with us. But that’s OK, we needed a rest anyway, and this is a great motel, with high speed wireless internet, and a Carrabbas Italian Restaurant right next door. It rained most of the night, but Houston got the worst of it. Still raining, off and on, but not as bad as last night. Should be cleared up before tomorrow morning, but if not we ride anyway.. We saw on the television that the Red Snapper Restaurant in Progreso, Mexico blew up last night from a gas leak.. It was two blocks from the International Bridge into Mexico. The restaurant we ate in, 'Althero’s, was also 2 blocks into Progreso. Seems bad things happen behind us. Sometimes I wonder if we’re jinxed! I did venture out today, rode over to the nearest Chevron Station and filled up the tank for tomorrow (hope I get started off in the right direction), and got some snacks for tonight. We’ll walk next door to Carrabbas for a late lunch. We only eat one real meal a day, the rest of the time it’s junk food! Only 2 miles today, 5,638 this trip, 127,298 total miles.
