This is the inaugural blog entry documenting my epic journey from Portland to points north. The stated goal is to get to Denali and those areas south of Anchorage. I plan to spend a bunch of time in BC and the Yukon on the way.
It is Friday afternoon and I am currently planning to depart Oregon late tomorrow morning. I still have to pack everything into the Westy and do a final inventory check. After an early breakfast, I am off.
The plan right now is to head up I5 to Olympia where I will stop for lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant. I plan to load up on their chips and salsa while I am there as well. With the refrigerator in the Westy, I should be in salsa heaven for a while! I am so easy to please...
