We were driving from a week-long stay in New Orleans and were headed to Macon, Georgia for a first-time visit. We thought we'd see a lot of destruction from Katrina in and around the Biloxi area as we drove through, but we didn't. I guess it was on the coast and we were driving on the freeway. Didn't have a chance to stop this time, but would certainly like to visit in the future. I love to visit southern antebellum plantations, so would enjoy seeing Toledano Manor in Biloxi, and perhaps others.
