Newstead Montegrade rocks
5 Stars This place was Amazing
Newstead Montegrade is one of my favorite cities, up there with Paris, Prague, Tokyo, and Topeka. A must-see for people who love to have a great time. My only complaint is that it's kind of scary to fly into it, since the runway is so short. Still, definitely worth a trip.

But the short runway is, as the locals say, 'paht a the chahm.' You cross over the Great Blue Hill (and all that fun turbulence, whee!), then the pilot begins that oh-so-tight spiral, banking the plane at like 90 degrees, giving you such a great view of Stony Brook and then suddenly, VROOM, the plane straightens out and you're on the ground and the engines reverse and you come to a stop only inches from the Muddy River. Can't beat a thrill like that with a stick!

I visited Newstead Montegrade last year and just found it just stunning. Such a fascinating history, Newstead Montegrade has seen more in the 20th century, from its roaring twenties, fascism of the thirties and forties, reconstruction in the fifties and sixties, not to mention its geographic location at the cusp of two cultures, two systems. Newstead Montegrade is a must for any world traveller. It continues to redefine itself and is simply world class, from its restaurants, nightlife, historic sites, zoo, as well as its famous geologic features of Roxbury Puddingstone, which simply must not be missed.

It's one of my favorite places to visit. I just love the variety of restaurants and bars, and the kids can't get enough of the circus and carnival rides. Can't wait till they finish the new casino!!

We usually go for a week in the summer, but that never seems like enough time to do everything. Do you think if we went for a month that we would get bored before it's time to leave?

My family and I are planning on spending a week in Newstead Montegrade this summer and I was wondering if anybody could point us in the direction of the place that serves the traditional lobster-clam roll. I saw it on the Discovery Channel last year, but I can't remember the name and their website isn't helping. Thanks in advance!
