We left our cruise ship for a 'tender' (a ferry) and boarded a bus for a short tour around Bar Harbor. It once offered a shoreline filled with the 'cottages' (some with 20 rooms) and was called 'Millionaire's Row'. A fire destroyed a lot of the town and the Acadia National Forest. Because the fire burned down the pine trees, deciduous trees grew and now Bar Harbor has fall 'color'. The town was small, quaint, and filled with little shops and a few B & B's. The people were very friendly. It would be nice to go back on a more pleasant day.
