Overview and Essential Travel Information
5 Stars This place was Amazing
OVERVIEW

Although Atlanta is not as crowded as the Big Apple or Chicago yet, it’s a vibrant city that keeps on growing onto its surroundings. The business and the historic heart beats in downtown Atlanta. Tall compact buildings are altered with old mansions and some of the best museums the city has to offer. Buckhead is the area where the fashionable live, but it is also the place to go to when you want to indulge in the sparkling nightlife scene (theatres, comedy clubs, bars, discos, live performances....you name it and you'll definitely find it here).

GETTING AROUND

MARTA

Atlanta's public transportation; trains/subway and busses.

GETTING THERE

William B. Hartsfield International Airport ( (404) 530-6834) is located approximately 10 miles (16 km) southwest of downtown Atlanta near the junction of I-85/I-285.

The easiest way to get to town is via MARTA (Metropolitan Area Rapid Transit Authority) (404) 848-4711. There is a MARTA station in the airport near the baggage claim area. MARTA offers both free trains and buses for the transfer A one way fare between any two points in Metro Atlanta is $1.50. Discount MARTA tokens can be purchased 10 for $12, at the central Five Points station, where the north-south, east-west MARTA rail lines intersect. For handicapped accessibility information, call (404) 848-5389.

hotlanta! whoo-hoo! this town parties harder than almost all of them, even some of the biggest and the best. and note, its a BLUE city (fulton and dekalb counties -- those surrounding downtown -- are *bright* blue) even though its in a red state. (which, is either good or bad depending on whether you're a midless asshole or not. i lieave it to the reader to determine which is which)

Hi, My name is Linda

I am a mother of 3 beatiful girls

We are planning Orlando trip soon.

I was searching for Disney deals and found this site

http://www.villa4vacation.com/magictickets.aspx

Sounds pretty cool, I can save money if I go to Disney for more then 3 days plus they have decent selection of private pool homes.

Anyone tried vacation rentals by owners before?
