I arrive in Atlanta airport, checking out of the United States feels good, not that I havn`t enjoyed my brief flirtation with the old USA, but there are much more exciting and important issues on the agenda, Guatemala beckons.
On the flight over I meet a Guatemalan native who emigrated to the states to sell tractors, as we fly above the beautiful country he lovingly points out lakes and rivers. The way he talks about his home country reminds me of the way someone talks as they show off a tatoo, piercing or hairy chest.
As we approach Guatemala city a sense of freedom fills me, my adventure is about to begin..
