Finally made it to Tampa!

8:00pm Kelowna flight to Vancouver cancelled. Snowing too hard!! Re-scheduled for Saturday at 6:15pm to Vancouver. Checked internet and found a flight direct from Kelowna to Toronto leaving at 11:30am. Booked that flight to avoid any other problems that Kelowna might bring. Good damn thing as the 6:15pm Saturday flight also got cancelled. Had to spend night in Toronto and caught our flight to Tampa Sunday morning. In Tampa we called for shuttle to take us to hotel but he didn't show up. Called again and they said he came and no-one was there and we would have to meet him at a different end of the terminal. Meanwhile we wasted 1-1/2 hours of quality time in Tampa. Too late to hit Busch Gardens so hit the mall across the street for a couple of hours. At least we made it to Tampa before our cruise left.Met a lady from the west side at the airport in Kelowna who was also cruising out of Florida. She missed her cruise departure because of the snow and had been dropped of in Kelowna by a neighbor and had nowhere to go and didn't know what to do so we offered our spare room and she could try to make arrangements with her cruise line in the morning. They couldn't do anything for her until Monday so we convinced her to get to Miami and they could get her to the next port to meet her ship. We arranged to meet her in St.Thomas when both our ships were in the same port. Hope all goes well for her!
