Visiting Relatives - Off on Carnival Cruise
3 Stars This place was Average
Well the dogs down the shore with my Dad. The suitcases are packed and we were off! My father-in-law came by the house and drove us over to the airport. Airtran flight 776 PHL->TPA departed at 1:15PM Needed wheelchair service due to the sprained ankle injury I had suffered just 6 weeks prior.

We were having lunch in the airport and I heard some call my name. Turn to find a family friend that I had not seen in years. Bob and Gloria. What a small world!Kids were a bit nervous of flying, however once off the ground. All was well.

Stayed with my cousin Sandra in Tampa. My Aunt picked us around 10:40 am and we were off to the cruise terminal in Tampa, with me following behind in the rental car. Dropped the kids and Dave off with the luggage and Aunt Gwen and I went to drop the Red Explorer off at the airport.

We had to make a quick stop off so Aunt Gwen could drop off some socks to a Battered Woman's Shelter. She must have had 50 pairs of brand new socks in her truck. Mentioned everytime she is in Walmart she picks up a pack.

Back to Channelside to board Carnival Inspiration. Boarding was painless due to having booked a suite and therefore being in the Skipper's Club. Found Cabin U109. Nice room with a large bed and a separate seating area with an L shaped leather sectional sofa. The Balcony was approximately 5ft wide x 12ft long. There was a lounge chair and 3 deck chairs.

Come dinnertime the kids were not interested in getting dressed for the Carnival Room. So we had pizza and Calzones for them. Dave and I were seated at a table with a couple from Wisconsin and there 3 children. Virginia was the wife's name and she was a lot of fun!

Sushi before dinner was awesome! I order the Talpia and sweet/sour shrimp. Skipped desserts..way to full.

Spent some time at the piano bar and then headed back to the room. One day at sea and Grand Cayman in the Monday!
