Three sisters took off on their quarterly 'On The Loose' trip to see Paul McCartney in concert - my favorite Beatle, of course.We found Channelside sort of by accident and ate lunch and shopped. 2 sisters bought cute chandelier earrings, other sister couldn't decide.
McCartney concert was AWESOME!
The disastrous part was that hotel, the Clarion on Westshore Boulevard. An old hotel that was unsuccessfully renovated. Holes in the wall, sink leg broken and propped up with a 2X4, were unable to get an extra coffee cup in time to have coffee, the list goes on and on.
Hilarious part was trying to find something to eat in Tampa at 10:30 p.m. on a Saturday night! We ended up having breakfast at 3:00 a.m. at an IHOP in St. Petersburg, I think it was. I know it doesn't sound particularly funny but it would have been in person, trust me. We giggled until we were sick to our stomachs and had everybody thinking we were drunk and shouldn't be driving.
Anyway, a fun time was had by all 3 of us but we'll never stay at that Clarion again even though I was offered a free night's stay there. They've got to be kidding.The reason we booked the hotel in the first place was so we wouldn't have to drive so late at night!!
