This place was Awful

Our stay was just overnight, but it was a long one. After about an hour wait, we finally got checked in. Both rooms were filthy. The carpets were stained,and didn't look like they had been cleaned since they were first installed. The bed linens were not clean and did not smell fresh to say the least. The ceilings had plaster hanging from them, evidently not repaired when a leak occurred some time ago. There were people walking around outside drinking and carrying on.I was approached by some scam artist with a hard-luck story needing 20 bucks 'to get back to Alabama.' We were not feeling real secure. The next morning when We checked out, nobody there asked about our stay, It was difficult to make eye contact with these people. I think they knew how our stays was and didn't care. I will never risk my wife and kids' safety and health at days inn anymore
