On Monday March 12, we left at the crack for the airport. I am an absolute wreck in travel mode, I get so anxious and nervous which whips John into a frenzy as well. This trip, however, seemed to be off to a great start. We checked in, grabbed some Timmy's and made it to our gate with ample time. We were all so excited! Then I checked the monitors and our flight to Calgary had been delayed for an hour! This was bad news for us as it now seemed that we would only have 20 minutes to catch our connection to Florida. In that 20 minutes we had to collect our bags and pass through security and U.S. customs. It was looking bleak, but we got lucky as there were 17 other people who had to do the exact same thing. The plane ended up being held for all of us. Thanks Air Canada.

So we made it through and landed in the land of Disney as scheduled. I remained mostly calm throughout which was a feat in itself. When we got off the plane it was hot, there were palm trees, flowers, and fountains everywhere; it felt amazing to be somewhere hot and tropical in the middle of winter.
