[18.Apr.2005] This was a very different experience from the one I had in 1994 (right year?) either because the nightlife has changed or I had. The fun (and overpriced) Art Déco antique shops I remembered were gone, and the social atmosphere had noticeably declined in its youthful enthusiasm. The city of Miami itself was depressingly absent of culture and oppressively hot and humid, made worse by the constant radiation of stored heat from the endless asphalt. The highlights of the trip were seeing my friend Dan and hanging out at at the cool À la Folie café on Española Way.
