Hurrican Dennis bent this one in half
After spending 2 and a half hours going through the Keys, we rejoined the mainland. One of the first things we do was of course hit Walmart for more ice and water for the trip.
We headed into the city (Miami). We decided to visit and have lunch in Little Havanah (Calle Ocho or 8th St.) That was the most disappointing jaunt of the trip. It was just a street, didn't even have that many Cubans about. Nothing interested us for lunch. I went to ask a couple of police officers for directions, but they were too busy doing cops stuff (arresting people). Tubbs and Crockett would have had time for directions.
We did what everyone should, we go the hell out of Miami. Ir reminded me of New Orleans (outside of the French Quarter), it could use some help and was kinda dirty, nowhere you'd like to find yourself after dark or in the daytime to be honest with you.
The one positive thing I can say about Miami, is that it was interesting to see the street that were in the game Driver in person.
