Cycle Ride Weekend
5 Stars This place was Amazing
Getting Ready To Ride
WOW What An Awesome Weekend! There is no better place to enjoy a late summer weekend than Jacksonville, FL.

We set aside time on Saturday for visiting the Jacksonville Landing, on the north bank of the St. Johns River. Shopping options on the lively landing range from fine jewelry to fun toys, and several full-service restaurants and a handful of nightspots that always attract a weekend crowd.

Sunday was the North Florida Bicycle Club's 18th annual Endless Summer Watermelon Ride, a classic one-day bicycle event designed for the experienced road rider, the touring cyclist, the intermediate cyclist and the beginner cyclist. In other words, all bicyclists are welcome. The route distances were 30, 45, 65, 80 and 103 miles and primarily traverse lightly traveled country roads.

This was my first Watermelon Ride which started at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center, the new facilities which include huge men's and women's restrooms could each accomodate 55 people. The facilities and ride were AWESOME! Can't wait to do it again next year.
