Sat PM: We were pooped out, but scraped ourselves together enough to dine at the Shrimp Shack and then tour the Edison/Ford homes. They were decked out for the holiday season. Showed Mac some of the grandaddy ficus trees...went home and fell into bed.Sun AM: Woke up refreshed! Started the slow dance to return to normal life. This started with checking the flight status, which in this case proved to be a smart move. We were on a DL ticket, but code share on a NW flight to MEM. NW was trying to recover, but things weren't looking good. Much to Mac's chagrin (and mine, too), we launched for the airport. NW did a great job of getting us home, even if it was through Detroit. We got home to an ice-encrusted Big Red. What a contrast!!
