Fort Lauderdale, Florida - 2 days before Caribbean Cruise

My wife and I have been to this town so many times before that tourism and sightseeing are out of the question.

As we drove on A-1A,however, we noticed the pre-spring break crowds already swelling the road and the beaches. Ft. Lauderdale is fine but looks a bit run-down, particularly around Route 1 (named Federal Hwy.)along that stretch.

If you like wide and clean beaches, here's a good place to come. The air temperature was around the 70s but I figure the water was plenty colder than that.A plus, food is relatively inexpensive in restaurants along Federal Hwy.
