Carrabelle's claim to fame is that it has the 'World's Smallest Police Station', which takes the form of a phone booth with a sign on top and a bench outside. I didn't get to see the famous station, but I did get to meet fully half the employed police force when one of Carrabelle's finest wrote me a speeding ticket along highway 98. His title, as entered on the ticket was 'Assistant Chief of Police', which would seem to indicate that the Carrabelle cops have quite the sense of humor, but he seemed to have left his at home that day.
