We arrive at the Disney Cruise Port located in Port Canaveral, FL. It is a beautiful terminal. The check in process was fairly easy. They had plenty of people to help you out with all the paper work. They had Disney characters to entertain the children while they waited to board the ship. Upon boarding several buffets are available for lunch. Lots of fresh fruits and pastries. Staterooms are available at 1:30- but not your bags. The mandatory boat drill is very well organized. It is hot & sticky in those life jackets while you wait for the straglers. But it makes you feel good that they are so well organized and serious about safety.
Our stateroom was lovely and our steward made cute little towel animals every-night.
The comedian Taylor Madison was wonderful that night. I havn't laughted that hard in years. The Walt Disney Theatre is beautiful. It does fill up very quickly, get there early. Dinner that night was at Animators Palate. Our waiters were wonderful. But this is the slowest of all the dinning rooms, because they are trying to time the courses to the show. A wonderful start to the cruise.
