Washington, D.C. - first time to the capiital

Washington, D.C.: This place was Great; I had no map coming into Washington, but as I approached the city center, I realized that I didn't need one...kinda. First I saw the Capitol from a distance...and just drove in that general direction to get there. Once there, you can just drive down the road and see all the museums and monuments that the city has to offer...pick and choose which ones to get out at and which ones to stare at momentarily while driving by. I'd come back for another visit.
