moner88 icon San Diego, California - San Diego, day 3, The most diverse city i have ever seen!

by moner88

San Diego, California
4 Stars  This place was Great
It is friday here now and havent we seen a lot. Yesterday we went to the wild animal park which was pretty good but it got sort of boring after we saw 32 different breeds of deer and antelope, but they had elephants and tIgers and rhinos and giraffes and some interesting things! Then we went out to dinner at a place called t.g.i Friday’s and it was soooo good. The meals were great and Cass and I got soooo drunk! You should have seen some of the cocktails they made they almost looked too good to drink! We went to the biggest bookstore I have ever seen after that and I bought cosmos from all over the world! They are great. Then today we went so seaworld, it isn’t too different to ours but they have the most amazing killer whales, we went and saw the show, it was absolutely amazing and we were sitting about 6 rows back and we still got soaked by the whales! Then tonight cass and I hit the shops, they are open until 9pm here every night, I got 2 new bikinis, I love them and it is great coz they are all on clearance here coz they are coming into winter! So aside from all the fun, think of the worst possible thing that could happen and then times it by 10, yer that’s rite I lost my voice, it has never happened to me before I don’t think and it did today and y throat was hurting soooo much but its pretty much gone now. Tomorrow we are off to Lego land I think and to the harbour to see the old marine ships.

Where we are staying here in right in the heart of the city with all high-rises and businesses and things but yesterday on our way back from the wild animal park we got lost and were driving through the outskirts of San Diego and I saw some of the worst things I have ever seen. The streets were crowded with homeless people, they were pulling trolleys and setting up camp for the night, one couple even had a mattress they were making up with raggy blankets and a trolley next to them with all their stuff in it. I just lost it, I don’t know why but that stuff gets to me soo badly, no one deserves to live like that but yer I got over it quick with our awesome drinks ?? but its weird here coz the coz the city is really nice, its sort of like Brisbane, and then there are some really beautiful scenic bits and then just the slums that are run down buildings and homeless people, its so weird.

Have been looking out for formal dresses too amidst all the other shopping I have tried on heaps but there are pretty much none in my size, lol I love America, I thought I would be about a size 4-6 here but I am a size 0-2? nice way to boost your confidence, so most dresses go down to a 4 and I have tried them on but they are too big but I have found two I really love and one that was in a size 2 but I think that I will wait till Las Vegas still for a dress.

Well I am off for the night! Missing you all! Will be home in just under 2 weeks! Xx

P.S Happy Birthday Lana, finally 17 hey? Love you to bits and I hope you had a ball, I guess we will celebrate when I get home xxxx

p.p.s No room for photos with this entry but if you have a look at the other sight, i will put them on there. (www.travelblog.org/bloggers/simo88)
