Sunrise -- as seen from my treadmill
I wasn't planning on getting off the ship at all, but ended up ponying up (ha) for a horseback riding tour around Mayan ruins. The Mayan ruins were a bit disappointing, but it was a fun time and I got to practice my Spanish with our guide Eduardo (aka 'Rojo').
It was also the first opporunity to get some shots of the ship from a distance. Quite an amazing thing. She drew a lot of attention from the Star Princess crew, which was directly across from where we docked. While it's difficult to tell in the photos, there were several crew members in the bridge of the Star Princess watching us come in and other crew members watching us as well. I guess it's not unlike a pilot of a Boeing aircraft still being curious about a new Airbus.
They docked three ships in a T shape there. I was surprised they could fit such behemoths in so close together, but it seemed to work well. Only downer was that if I had stayed in my cabin all day, my view would have been of the Star Princess.
