The day after the Sagra in Farnoccia, we began our week long trip through Switzerland. We spent the night in Lugano, Switzerland.
The town felt much like Stressa on Lago Di Maggiore (italy). We didn't see much as we arrived around 4pm and left the next morning. The highlight of Lugo for us was the post-dinner (9p) walk along the lake. We came across a street vendor who had a bunji jumping-trampoline contraption that Madeleine begged us to try. It surprised us that she wasn't afraid, as she could clearly see that the other kids (looked 8-9 yrs old) were going 15-20 feet into the air.
Well, she just climbed up there and had herself put in the harness and lowered over the trampoline. Then, as she jumped, the series of large rubber bands expanded and contracted that catapulted her up incredible high. She even did many flips after the operator showed her how.
Shona and I were very very proud of her bravery and curiousity. Wow!
