Woke at 8.30 to another glorious day. Breakky in the hotel which is the standard type you get in the buffet breakfasts. Sausages, bacon, eggs, toast, cereals, tea. Nice. Went back to room showered and got dressed. Went to get postcards for everyone. Couldn’t find the one I wanted for my Mum but got one for Peter and work. Richie got his ones too. His Mum and his work. Went to the Farmacia for a Ventolin at €4.07. Being that cheap got one and Richie’s going to get me one tomorrow. Walked to the town beach. Spent the entire day there, swimming, sun tanning, swimming, sand sphinx, swimming and sun tanning. Had a quick shower and then a salad lunch on the water front. Served by a lovely waiter!! Back to the beach for more swimming, sun tanning and watching the gorgeous men. SIGH. Left there at 5ish and back to the hotel. Shower and voddy. Out for dinner to a pizzeria. I had a Tropical Pizza and Richie had a Mexican Pizza. Had ice-cream for dessert and took a pleasant stroll around the Marina again. Got some cigarettes for Chris and checked out the E-Bar. ‘The only gay bar in the village!!!’ It opens at 10pm and goes through to 3am during the week and until 6am on the weekends. Went back to the hotel to check e-mails and played a game of air hockey. I won 6-4!!!!! Walked to the post office machine to get stamps. It is 72c to send a postcard to Australia. As luck would have it I only had 71c and Richie had no coin on him!!! Will get it tomorrow. Went to Rui’s Bar at 9.30. There was a karaoke in progress. Had a couple of beers and Richie sang one song. Before karaoke there was an act on. The singer looked a bit like Robbie Williams and there was an extremely cute saxophone player. Off to the E-Bar about 11.30. There were two bears on the terrace, seven customers and two bar staff. The Thunderbirds were on the television. About four other people arrived. It was very quiet so we drank up and left about 12.45. The drinks were €5.00 each but they are very large servings of spirits and very little mixer. Hotel at 1ish and straight to sleep.
