The hiding place! Bricks removed to show the cavity
We caught the train up to Haarlem for a look around for the day. We checked out this lovely town, did some shopping, and went to Corrie Ten Boom's house. Corrie's house was an amazing experience. There was a guide who took us through the house explaining the story of how Corrie had helped save Jews in the war, and how she ended up in a concentration camp her self. We also got to see the special hiding place where they hid people when the nazis searched the house. The guide did an amazing job, keeping our attention for well over an hour and managed to include the amazing Christian message that was Corrie's life.
In the evening we caught the train to Schipol to pick up Tyler and Anna (McMillan) from the airport. They were over to hang out with us for the long weekend.
