This place was Amazing

We have spent about a week cycling and camping from France to Italy. We survived the traffic of the Med Coast and rode from Nice to Savona, Italy through Monaco and Monte Carlo. They had bleachers set for the Grand Prix so of course we had illusions of grandeur as we raced along!!
We took the train to Sienna since the weather cut loose with huge rainstorms. Ah....then the hills of Tuscany. The cycling from Sienna beyond Cortona was back to the rural serenity we had enjoyed in southern France.
We met Henbests, Gabicas and Massmans at Villa Bella Vista, which is of course on TOP of a ridge of 3000 ft. and kilometers from anywhere. Did we ever enjoy the pool at the villa after climbing both the ridge, as well as a mountain pass earlier in the day!
Now we are enjoying the decadence of traveling in a car....sure is a lot faster! We once again are enjoying the company of friends, good food and good wine. Access to laundry services has been good too!!
