Agrigento, Italy

This place was Poor

I visited Agrigento on a Sunday, which meant that absolutely everything was closed except for one cafe, where I believe we enjoyed some ice cream (not gilatto, but the kind you can buy in Central Park from a stand). The ruins I thought were highly overrated. I mean, there were ruins, and a bunch of them, and perhaps I am being a snob because I was living in Rome at the time and have since been to Greece, but really the town is not very accessible without a car, and there didn't seem much to do in the town, although as always I am hesitant to speak poorly of any place in Italy, as even the least attractive town there beats most places elsewhere in the world.
