From the free bicycles at the center square to the festival, this was one of the most 'hospitable' places I've had the pleasure to visit.
Convenient for day trips to Florence, Venice and Tuscany. The train station was within walking distance, the food was remarkable and the overall atmosphere offered the best of both old and new.

The clock tower was rebuilt after being destroyed in WWII

Don't forget to look up - the frescos are breathtaking
