We were in Amalfi on a Sunday, and as we headed to Pompei, the traffic congestion became obvious, so the driver suggested a back way across the mountains to avoid getting into a traffic jam, so we never got to see Sorrento or Positano. We were delighted to see Pompei instead. On the way back, we stopped in Ravella, a town TravelPost can't find, up at the top of the hill, where we had an outstanding lunch at a restaurant called Cosimo (no view, just great food) where most of the guests were speaking Italian. Then down the slope to Amalfi, where we bought handmade paper.
