Calais, France

Calais, for those of you at home, is one of the closest points in France from the UK and regularly utilised for the great UK 'Booze Cruise' - or trip to Calais to fill a van with cheap booze! You wouldn't think it hard to find a grog warehouse but we struggled!
After a traditional French breakfast (McDonalds) and another Rusty breakdown (*!&&%$!! - a more permanent fix in the daylight however) we set off to find an internet cafe to set up our TomTom satnav (we're really roughing it - on board we have TomTom, a PDA, laptop and wireless Internet, new super cool fridge, 2 * iPods, digital camera and movie camera, cooker and even the kitchen sink!). Only one internet cafe in Calais apparently and after trecking there found it closed along with most of the booze stores.
We needed TomTom quick so decided to call on Divine intervention in the name of Father Kit Johnson - newly ordained in the Church of Life (click 'Get Ordained' on their website and get a certificate to prove it!) and now registered to perform weddings in Las Vegas and, well, actually probably only Las Vegas. (By the way if anyones interested in joining the flock, I've locked in the No. 2 position but we have some vacancies in the top 20 I believe!!!)
Kit kindly got us TomTom registered online, we picked up some very reasonably priced French Champagne and wine and set sail for Amsterdam to catch up with some mates.
In short:
Weather: great
Enjoyment: average - not much to see yet
Rusty Breakdowns: 2
